Fostering community wellbeing through generosity and support, as we believe "Healthy Community, Happy Future." Wellbeing of communities lies in education, health, culture & healthy relationship. DBL is instrumental to bring changes at all levels to strengthen relationship among the stakeholders. Seniors Citizens Old Age Homes for 200, Divyang Women Residential Care for 40, number of activities carried out in different slums of Pune city, watershed management etc. We have contributed to di-silting initiatives in more than fifty villages in drought affected region. Sanitation facilities in more than 25 rural school is provided by us. We strongly believe that community wellbeing is possible through long term integrated efforts in various sections of the society. Mobile Clinics are catering to rural community health care requirements.
Janseva Foundation began modestly by organizing health camps in rural areas and establishing an old age home. DBL has been one of the foundation’s major steadfast philanthropic partners for decades, since 1994, fulfilling its commitment to societal welfare through Janseva Foundation.
There are two units of the old age home, H. V. Desai Old Age Home 1 and 2, built with the support of the company. These old age homes cater to 150 elderly individuals, providing comfortable residential facilities along with a hospital. Of the 150 residents, 100 live free of charge, while the others pay according to their capacity. DBL is providing financial aid towards the running and operational costs of these old age homes.
Vanarai is engaged in rural development, focusing on empowering women and youth, scientific micro-watershed management, plantation and other related activities.
With the help of Vanarai, DBL has constructed over 200 toilets in 11 villages in the Raigad and Ratnagiri districts. Additionally, DBL has supported the construction of toilets for students in various rural schools and has contributed to watershed management projects.
With the assistance of the Sakal Relief Fund, desilting work in villages has been completed. Every year, DBL contributes to this SRF initiative, which helps villagers maintain their own water sources.
Every year, DBL contributes to the supply of food grains and essential items for distribution to needy widows. Additionally, solar panels with sheds have been installed by our group.
